Chamonix is a mecca for off-piste and glacial skiing which requires a mountain guide to
accompany you. The Vallee Blanche is the most accessible for most intermediate skiers with a head for heights. The first descent from the top of the cable car down the
arête to reach the glacier is not for the faint hearted.
